Traverse City, MI – May 11, 2015 – Chairman of the Board of the Association of Directory Publishers (ADP) and Co-Owner of Downey Publishing Laura Hill was elected Mayor of Southlake, Texas, on Saturday, May 9. She is the first woman to be elected to this post in this suburban city in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, where she defeated her opponent with more than 60 percent of the vote.

“On behalf of the ADP, I am delighted to congratulate Laura on becoming the new Mayor of Southlake, Texas” said Cindi Aldrich, president and CEO of ADP. “She has been a tremendous leader as ADP board chairman and the people of Southlake are fortunate to have her leading their community.”

Hill has been a local business owner and a civic leader in Southlake for more than 15 years, where she has also been a resident since 1998. Among the priorities she outlined for her rapidly growing community during the campaign were to maintain a low- to medium-density city; be proactive in getting citizens involved early in the development process; and fast-track all mobility projects that help alleviate residential traffic flow.
